Hotmail - browser not supported

Hello, I'm using the stock Sprint 6.5 ROM on my TP2 and since yesterday, I noticed that I am no longer able to use my IE (or opera) to access my hotmail account (I have two hotmail accts - one is connected using pocket outlook, and I usually use IE to access hotmail.com for the second one - both used to work till a couple of days ago).

Now, when I browse to hotmail.com, and enter my ID/pwd, I get a "Browser not supported" message (on IE and on Opera) - I usually use "browse websites as mobile device" option on both (I tried switching this option, but that didn't do anything)

Has anybody else seen this probem? Any suggestions?

Edit: It redirects me to the error message at https://account.live.com/error.aspx?...1047&mkt=en-US

Are you already using Microsoft Live on your phone for the first account?

Yes - I'm using Microsoft live for the first acct.
I know that when I use mobile IE to access some sites (SD I think), it seems to detect my browser version as IE6 (and urges me to upgrade)
So I'm guessing MS might have made some changes on their mobile live website... are you able to get to hotmail.com and log into a hotmail acct?

Wirelessly posted (HTC Diamond: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11) Sprint MP6950SP)

Have you tried soft resetting and then clearing cache, cookies, and history then tried it?

I upgraded my opera browser (got version 10 from m.opera.com) - and used that to access the mobile hotmail site - this time, it worked, and now, I used IE to access hotmail and that worked as well!!! Go figure!
Anyway, thank you all for your help :)

I am in the same frustrating situation! Has there been any suggestions for working around this? I have tried various settings in Opera Mobile 10 without luck, however, the ONLY few times that an e-mail has opened was when switching on/off "turbo" after experiencing the stupid refresh.

It appears that many users are outraged with their update to Bing as well :angry7:

Hey, my first post here... and one which should help those fustrated people here with the not been able to open mail issue!

I'm using a HTC HD2 with the latest Opera 10 browser (incase this is phone or browser specific).

When you want to open an email click on the subject as usual. Wait until it has fully reloaded (i.e. back to the list of emails) then immediatly click the browsers back button... this should take you to your email! Works for me.
