iPhone 3GS for TP2??
I got an iPhone 3gs 32 gig white for my 25th bday and I ordered an iPhone4 the day before..
A friend of mine has a new Touch Pro 2 and was wanting my 3Gs..Is it worth it?? Just really wandering if it's worth it. Mines unlocked and jailbroken(it's a factory unlock). Thanks guys ~SMurf And as for unlocking and flashing, I've done it and am very comfortable doing it..Are the roms good?? |

from experience you have better luck selling it outright to someone, then purchasing a tp2, the 32gb 3gs can be quite valuable to someone compared to a tp2 from a resale standpoint. That's from my opinion and experience in sales, but its up to you cupcake. |
Re: iPhone 3GS for TP2??
Itll depend on what you are looking for. If customization is your thing than youll probably like it. And yes there are many good roms but there all differant. You would have to try them yourself and see what you like. Hope this helps.

value, speed, apps 3gs definitely.
Customization, "freedom", tp2 |
Re: iPhone 3GS for TP2??
No it's not worth a straight trade. You are better off outright selling the iPhone and then buying a TP2 if you want one.
That internal storage capability makes it a valuable commodity. You'll want at least $300'ish for it, where a TP2 owner is lucky to get $200-$225 for their used phones. |

The only few advantages of the tp2 are swype, tethering and hardware keyboard and actual phone abilities. My old 3G and even 2g, easily are better devices. The tp2 really can't compare |

Re: iPhone 3GS for TP2??
I know about the price difference and shit(and mine's factory unlocked as well), but as long as it's got WiFi and I can tinker with it, I love it. I'll prolly use it for about a month and ebay it anyway.
I've had a couple 6900's and a few other WinMo phones, and have always wanted a TP2. I'm still thinking about it but idk. I agree with the previous posters that said sell the 3gs 32gb and buy a TP2 if you want but to say a TP2 doesn't compare to an iphone 2g or 3g is an ignorant statement. IMO Most people have issues because they need a "dumb" smartphone like the iphone and the TP2 or any other WinMo device for that matter is too far over their head. You can pretty much do anything with WinMo that you can do with a pc it's just smaller. |

Safari > opera by a country mile Phone response iPhone Tether tp2 Phone stability iPhone by far Apps iPhone Speed iPhone Infrastructure iPhone Taking notes with actual writing tp2 Service provider tp2 in a huge way Build quality iPhone by far Even when equipped with the best rom possible, the iphone's stock is is simply much much better. Think of win ME vs win 2000. Tp2 is the win me of this era. |
