Phone keeps going to user data/settings and any user installed applications screen (white) which doesnt help.

Thanks for your patience. I am doing that. Its going to that white screen, not the multi color screen.

turn phone off. while phone is off, hold down the volume down rocker while powering on the phone. do not let go of the volume down rocker until you see the tri-colored screen.
