SIM Card Programmer ?

does anyone know of a program similar to CDMA workshop or QPST that would be able to change settings in a SIM Card (Channels,Bands,Providers)

not that i know of....im pretty sure the GSM carriers have such program. but doubt its released for public use. why do you need it? are you trying to reprogram a sim card from a GSM carrier into a sprint sim?

Re: SIM Card Programmer ?

YOU CAN'T. your best bet would be to call sprint and tell them that you're leaving the country and want to sim card activated for international use. but even if you do turn it on (and if it works here in the US), why would you want to use it?....it's most likely going to be on roaming mode.

here's the simple answer...you've been trying to make your Sprint CDMA phone into a GSM by trying to find a way to make the sim device work here in the US. YOU CAN'T...YOU SIMPLY CAN'T because sprint is not a GSM network. it is CDMA. and no amount of manipulating the sprint sim card will make it a GSM network. the only reason why sprint chose to include a sim device with the tp2 is to make it a "worldphone". that is an extra selling point for them (and verizon). even if you were able to change the programming on the sprint sim card...it still would not work. for the simple reason that sprint is not a GSM network.

im not trying to make Sprint a GSM network... if i can put an Att SIM in my TP2 and put it in GSM only mode and get the att service fine why cant i get an international sim card to work in the US with Gsm Network

Re: SIM Card Programmer ?

because SPRINT IS NOT A GSM NETWORK. i don't know why you are hell bent on using that INTERNATIONAL ROAMING sim card states side when you simply can't. like explained to you in your post last week...just because sprint gave you a tp2 with a pre-loaded sprint sim card in it...it doesn't mean that you can use that sim card to get your sprint home coverage.

i am not trying to get sprint coverage using the sim i AM trying to get it so that i can Connect to a GSM provider in the US, International roaming is free on my plan so is international data , Wouldnt GSM be better than CDMA

Re: SIM Card Programmer ?

well there you go....at least now i understand why you are trying hard to get the sprint sim card to work on your phone. why don't you just put your phone in roaming under using gsm? i bet that'll work. what plan do you have with sprint that comes with international roaming and international data free?

and as far as your question about which is better...it really depends on the person which network/carrier is best for them.

edit:
you can probably set your phone to gsm and then try this cab http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=105779 to turn on your roaming.

i have a SERO plan with the international roaming option for $20.00 extra, unlimited data international and talking is 2 cents more than being on the sprint network
