Cant sent out the first SMS. I think its a bug

I think there is a bug on the SMS.

I have a stock WM6.5 on myTP2.

I click on 'Pick Up Fon' button, click "All People" and find somebody I have never SMS before, click on "Sent Message" fpr a mobile phone. Out pop this weird msg box that I only see on the first email, type something, hit "SEND". My phone change from EV to 1x then back to EV. But never see that message after its sent. Is it sent?

I go to "SEND" folder, the msg is not there. So it is never sent, even though my phone went from EV to 1x then EV.
