Re: why get a google voice number??

I have Sprints Pick 3 option where I get unlimited incoming and outgoing on any 3 numbers. I have made one of those numbers my Google Voice number. I use my GV number for work so I never have to worry about business related calls eating up my minutes.

Its also pretty sweet that you can pick your own number. When I give out my number to the ladies I just tell them to call me at ???-ADAM (thats me!). They never believe that my name is really my phone number so they try calling me right away to prove me wrong. Its a nice way for them to remember you.

For me the advantage recently was when apartment shopping for a visiting friend I could send all the call-back to that number and then I got transcriptions of the messages with all the details of the rentals in text....

that would be great, but in my experience, the transcript is always hella wrong? its like they have manatees picking words on balloons to put together to try and form a cognitive sentence.

If you work for an awful 24 hour company that will call you at 4 am to ask you to come to work at noon. Its the perfect way to keep your awful company from waking you.
