Does anyone's Opera 10 take two mins to load a page? - Page 2

it's normal for opera to take 2 minutes to load a page. the processor is just too slow to handle it. on the hd2 it's much faster.

You really need to use OperaMini 5 if you want fast loading of the browser & any bookmarked pages.

Unless you absolutely need flash (then you need Skyfire), I really can't imagine why anybody would use anything else (I've been using it since I had an xv6800). OperaMini is so much faster to load than any other option that it is in a whole different league.

I do use IE occasionally to do a quick Google search as I find that if I set the IE home page to Google it opens & searches MUCH quicker than Opera 9.5/9.7, but I find IE pretty useless for anything else.

I just installed Opera 9.7 and it loads as fast as Skyfire... so Opera 10 is the only browser that's slow. How weird. I like the interface for 10 better than 9.7, but I guess I'm forced to use 9.7.

I don't know if it would really make a huge difference but,

I installed my Opera v10 on my SD card, and AT MOST it takes me about 15 seconds to load any random page. Will the norm taking about 5-6 seconds.

Granted I am running one of the Cooked Roms with a few extra cabs (both from here and ones I have been working on).

Everything is fast on my end though.

And to answer this question, The reason I will ONLY use Opera 10 is that I love having my web browser being as close to the PC version as possible.

I just can't do without the Speed Dial page (It may seem trivial and silly, but to me its a big deal).

I was using Skyfire, but the only reason I wanted it was for Hulu, and it won't run (It tells me I am outside of the USA, which is just absurd)
