Touch Pro 2 keeps jumping to email screen

I want to apologize up fron if this has been asked before. If it has, I simply cannot find the thread.

Anyway, my problem is that, no matter what screen or application I am in, my HTC Touch Pro 2 (I'm with T-Mobile) will jump to whatever email inbox I was last in, within about 10-20 seconds.

It does not seem to be a problem unique to any one email service (I have Outlook, hotmail, Gamil and Yahoo on it) so do not think it has anything to do with any auto-synch frequency settings.

Anyone have any suggestions on what I should look for?
