Hmm.. never messed with or changed the password on this (win7ultimate) laptop and it doesn't prompt me for one when I do "run as".

You could go into "user administration" and give the admin acct a password but then if you have the box set up so it goes right into you're account it will break that as it will prompt you for which account to log into.

hmm... Well, I went into Safe Mode (because the Administrator account is hidden unless there are no other accounts or if you are in Safe Mode).

I set up a password and then tried run as, but to no avail. It now says:

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

sigh...

maybe I am not meant to have Mighty ROM...

If you mean AVG the antivirus suite or whatever... I am using Avast. I have that turned off though.

my bad...i see that you put that in the first post. did you have it disabled before you even downloaded it? sometimes it helps to add the file to the exception list in your antivirus program. try that.

if you right click on Start, do you see the option "Explore All Users"

I tried re-downloading after turning off avast. no difference.

Considering we're pretty much supporting ourselves will little (or no) help from them I'd say I'd have to agree..
