Where did conferencing go in Verizon TP2 MR2 Update?

OK, so I took the plunge and updated to Sense 2.5 using the Verizon MR2. Actually had very few problems with the conversion process. Even got everything working -- including appts on home page (thanks to Max Manila v3) and no MMS hang-up (thanks to a registry hack found in PPC Geeks forum). So far, so good, right?

But wait! Where did my (already-limited) conference calling ability go? (I am talking about 3-way calls on CDMA.) On WM6.1, you had to go through a bunch of secret moves to achieve this. On the Verizon MR1 (WM6.5 Sense 2.1), we had the grown-up TP2 conferencing buttons, even if we were still limited to calling 2 people.

Now, there are fewer buttons, and the "Talk" button doesn't connect a second line. Plus, the original double-secret way of pressing the phone button and dialing the second number doesn't work.

Anybody have any ideas?:-s

3 way calling works fine for me. while in a phone call, i just bring the keypad up and dial the number and hit Send key, then after it connects i hit send key again.

Thanks, Razor, but still not working for me. In fact, I am getting odd behavior all- around from my dialer. I haven't modded the dialer in any way. Other than some random apps, the only real change was adding Max Manila v.3. Any other ideas (except the dreaded hard-reset)?

sounds like something you installed messed it up. i would try uninstalling stuff.

I tried uninstalling things, then just went ahead with a hard-reset. It was working better for a while, but then started acting up again. I just think the dialer is a little weak on this one. Sometimes, after I dial a number and hit send, the number just disappears and the call doesn't connect. It usually works on the second try, though. Also, I miss the extra in-call buttons from Verizon's MR1 update.

Oh well, I will limp along with a better device (but perhaps a weaker phone) until something better (update, cab, etc.) comes along. I'm still sold on the TP2, though.

Thanks again, Razor!

DISREGARD -- this is apparently not an MR2 bug, but rather a result of incompatibility of chevy's vzw fix to saumaun's caller's city/state on dialer.

Greetings,

Did you figure this one out? I am using the great Medium Hill ROM and cannot seem to get 3-way calling to work. Every time I dial the second number Verizon tells me the number is incorrect and to try again.

Thanks for any advice,

Doug M.
