help with htctouchpro2 sms tones

I can't figure out how to customise the sms notification tone. I get to the sound & display tab thing on the settings menu and in that you can customise your ring tone. But the only options it has for the sms is if you want to be notified if there is a new sms/email etc. Can anyone help?

What exactly are you trying to do? You can go to settings/sounds & notifications and set your ringtone for e-mail, sms, etc. I'm not clear on what you're trying to do.

go to file explorer, copy the ringtone you want, and save it in the windows folder, then go to sound notifications and change it to the tone you want

if I understood correctly I think they want a custom tone as a ringer for there texts

I'm thinking the same, but wasn't quite clear. FYI, I typically just dump the ringtones into the root of my sd and can use them from there for any notifications.

that makes sense too, but something I learned recently, not everyone uses memory cards, I found it surprising lol

there are several folders that work:
\Storage Card\My Documents
\Storage Card\
\Application Data\Sounds\
\Windows\

Just to name a few...
