Re: How to lock volume buttons while phone is locked?
ELESBB,
Update: I have been using 'Lock Device', and your script for 'Screen off when Locked' since my previous post. They are working great without any issues at all ! Functionality of the standard WinMo lock is greatly improved, though still lacking one or two small features. I would rather have reliability than a bunch of features that cause issues. Thanks. QA |

I was having issues with S2U2, and elesbb had written a script, and recommended an app that work nicely on the HTC TP2. Hopefully elesbb can come up with a way to have more than one appointment on the std. winmo lock screen, and a way to have it unlock to the Today screen. I appreciate your post. Regards, QA  |

elesbb,
Ok, great. I do like the device to open on the Today Screen since most of what I do starts from there. As for the display of appointment information.....that's a good question. Have you seen the way S2U2 displays them? I've included a .jpg attachment. My winmo calender screen is displaying (right now) the current days appoinments, and the next two days on which appointments are scheduled. Reminders should display in their own window in the foreground, so I don't think that will affect the display of appointments in the background. Oh, I can see the request is a tall order to fill, but I'm sure you'll resolve it. You seem to have a great understanding of development. Regards, QA PS: This post was a lot longer but I edited it to remove all the 'loose' thoughts I had. lol |
Re: How to lock volume buttons while phone is locked?
elesbb,
Ummm, I think I can explain a bit easier now that I thought about it. The standard lock screen should have enough available room with the clock to display 5 or 6 appointments, so if each appointment always shows the date, time period, and subject, it will be fine. If the user's appointments exceed the max limit, lets's say 5, then the 6th won't be displayed until the earliest expires. Gee, that was a bit easier then the novel I posted earlier. :headbang: I removed a lot of the uncessary post. Regards, QA |

elesbb, Thanks for putting in the time to get this done. I think it will be great for all TP2 users who really don't understand how stable and reliable the standard WM lock screen really is, and how much better it will be using your "Screen off when locked", Lock Device, and whatever new ones you can add to it. Regards, QA |
