Re: Why is everyone so against the WModem concept for TP2?

yeah I actually first access that page (Tutorial: USB DUN with "Wireless Modem" app on HTC Mogul ) back in early 08 when I got my first PPC, a Mogul on ebay. When I moved to TP1 when it first came out in nov 08, everything on there worked fine on the TP1 with no problem whatsoever. Fast forward to 2010 with TP2, couldn't get it to work at all even after almost two weeks now... I can't imagine I am the only sprint user trying to get wmodem to work on TP2. If anyone else has tried, definitely appreciate your input. Thanks...

If you don't see Security tab after hitting Edit and typing in your unlock code..

maybe youll need to flash different PRL with security tab there :/

I just checkd on my mogul near by..(cause my tp2 is powering my internet)..anyways..when I did "View" I did not see Security tab..but when I did "Edit" security tab was now there...:/

I'll test on my tp2 later..but are you sure you clicked edit and unlocked it?

i did see it now after entering the msl code in edit. but i don't see anything in security different from the same area in the tp1 to change.....

gTen, do you mind trying to see if you can get wmodem to run on your personal TP2?

Kinda wierd that for vzon wmodem worrks when you have stock rom and not when you have custom rom. And its totally opposite w/ sprint ;)

I am just thinking to myself, when you flash a custom rom you dont change anything in EPST right? So I dont think the culprit is ESPT since it seems that if wmodem works or not depends on the rom and whatever difference between the roms

flashing a custom rom does not change any of the settings in epst.

ya i didn't think so either. I definitely think that this wmodem problem is related to some changes in the WM or the rom itself rather than anything to do with EPST.
