Still no SOD. I was hoping that others would have found a solution to theirs. If it matters, when i formatted my SD card the first time, it was in my laptop's SD slot, which I don't think reads everything correctly (I saw it was calling some files several gigs large when they were only a few megs). The one i'm currently using was formatted using a usb adaptor for SD cards.

Re: SD card is possibly linked to sleep of death (SOD) on TP2

Just wanted to add my 2c to the mix. Ive gotten it a few times here and there and usually it had something to do with Opera, like i had multiple tabs open. (I edited the amount Im allowed to have open at one time) Yesterday though I downloaded a cab via opera and for the next few hours it would happen constantly. Id restart and it would occur on the restart, in order to restart Id have to use the buttun under the case or plug it into my laptop to pop the screen back on.

I found this thread and popped the sd card out, deleted the file I downloaded and then ran scandisk on it and fix 4 errors. I then deleted a few other files I found that were from the time period that the problems came up and popped the card back in and turned the phone back on. So far I haven't had a single issue and its back to working again. Not sure if the main issue is the card, a corrupted file, opera, or a mix of the three but I wanted to say thanks for pointing me towards the sd card and mention that everytime its happened to me I was doing something with opera, Ive never gotten the sleep of death without that being open.

Glad to hear it helped you out. I still haven't gotten the SOD since i switched out my card. I need to RMA the bad card and try it out again, but I don't think i'll have the chance any time soon. I'll definately report back with the results though.
