tp2 native lock

i like the simplicity of the native wm 6.5 lock screen but i hate the fact that it requires a password. Is there anyway it can be set to lock when u push the power button and then turn it on to the slide screen and just slide to unlock and go straight to the OS with out getting prompt to enter a simple password? It wont let me set it up in the settings and requires to enter a password. Reg tweaks?

Do you have a PIN or password setup in Settings ->Lock?

I use the native wm6.5 lock screen (slide to unlock) and love it.

But I have to have DeviceLock_v1.6 running in background to allow for when I press the power button for the device to wake up to locked screen.

The OS doesn't do this by default.

This is what I use, once you install it, softreset and go to settings/system/Smart lock and check WM6.5 New lock. there ya go. its got several other settings with it and I have never experienced the SOD with it.

boredandtattoed.. you must be using a custome rom. Stock roms 6.5 always ask for a simple pin. But devicelock worked. I will try the other cab the next poster recommended just to see what it does. thxs everyone.

Boredandtattoed...... just realised that is you manually lock it, it indeed does not promp you for any password. But what I am looking for is for the device to lock automatically when it shuts of the backlight or when you manually push the power button. I just tried the other app called Smartlock. Did not work at all. But actually glitched my start menu. I tried enable and disable options and non did any good. So I will fall back to the first app that worked. Csdevcntrol is the name.
