Verizon TP2 on Tmobile network

Hi everyone. A bit new to flashing roms but thanks to the very helpful guides I was able to flash the Energy rom onto my phone. I bought an unlocked Verizon Touch Pro 2 with GSM capabilities and I want to run it on the Tmobile network.

After flashing the Energy rom, do I have to change any settings to get my voicemail and texting to work? Currently I am not able to access my voicemail or send any texts? Will it automatically detect from the SIM? Or should I flash a Tmobile radio onto the phone?

You need to put the phone in GSM mode only and setup the MMS Server options to point to TMobile. I don't have the details near me but if you search I am sure you will find the info you need.

you need to unlock the sim, do not flash a tmo rom or radio or you will brick it.call verizon first, they might give you the code free.

Re: Verizon TP2 on Tmobile network

actually i have already sim unlocked the phone. verizon was kind enough to provide the code for that.

the trouble i am having is that I can make calls, but no voicemail or text message access. is there a custom rom i can install that will just solve all the setting problems?

Re: Verizon TP2 on Tmobile network

I would like to know more about this, as I will be doing the same thing. I am knowledgeable about flashing my ROM, as I use MightyRom on my TP2. What I don't know is how to make my Verizon TP2 work on T-Mobile. You mentioned unlocking the SIM, but I am not sure what that means. If someone could please help, what's the quickest way to move my Verizon TP2 to T-Mobile?

Re: Verizon TP2 on Tmobile network

That's what I am not familiar with. I guess I call Verizon tech support, correct? And then just ask for the sim unlock code? Once I have that, what do I do? Does the T-Mobile sim card just go into the phone, replacing the Global sim card? Then I guess I need to reflash it with a T-Mobile ROM or download the update from T-Mobile or what?
