Services.exe causing battery drain?

I've flashed timberwolf's new rom. Works Nice and it is installed with Cookies Home Tab 1.7.1.

However,
I am getting a massive battery drain at times. I noticed it comes from when services.exe running at or almost 100% for a long period of time. I used MemMaid to figure this out. Is there a way to reduce this? It's usually 0-10% in the idle process. Does anyone know what is causing this? I know it's suppose to just start and stop services of the phone, but it would run that high with no updating going on that I can notice. I do not have anything that takes more than 5 mins to sync because services.exe would run at high percentages for over 10 mins.

My settings are push mail for gmail, which I recently just changed to see if it would have an effect. I always have been just using an email account setup that would sync every 30 minutes.
Twitter updates every 15 mins.
Facebook every 2hrs (doesnt always seem like it)
Weather Update every 3 hrs.

I'm wondering if these apps can have some hand in this:
Advanced Config
Bsb Tweaks
Nuebattery drivers

well i know its not advanced config as i have that installed... turn off your PUSH though for good.. just set it to send /rcieve every 5,10,or etc minutes instead... do you really need emails the second they come through?? just having push on chews upto 10mb at any given time..

if you wanna kill it heres the cab

Well i was getting the issue before I even set up a push account. I just switched to push account to see if it would make a change but it doesn't i still get services.exe running at almost 100% when im not doing anything on the phone and it will stay running until i soft reset.

also %1 battery drivers seem like the burn more power due to driver polling for battery useage more often!! just like ur phone polling for signal more often!!

Re: Services.exe causing battery drain?

Yea I'm still getting Services.exe running at more than 70-100 % currently for over a half hour. It happens whenever im not using my phone for awhile i check memmaid and services.exe is taking up the CPU space..it doesnt make sense why Idle Process is not this high instead when I'm not even using my phone.

Can anyone please help this morning i woke up and my phone had services.exe running on an average of 80%. I did a hard reset yesterday and tried to duplicate the problem again which didnt happen until after these last four cabs in this order

ameba
sdkerts
rhodium keyboard controller
pocket twitter last thing installed and the problem duplicated

I did install other programs before these in this order:
Advanced_Config - MordyT edit
BsB Tweaks 1.6
psShutXP
Remove HTC Shortcuts
Touch X Startmenu Transparent BG
Touch X Transparent slider
Android Transparent Slider
HTC-DEV Barre_notif_transp
NGTV CHT Notifications
volDeus BG Tweak v0.6b7

I used MemMaid to export the info for my services.exe so maybe someone can tell me what or what programs are causing it to.

Re: Services.exe causing battery drain?

Had the same problem /w stock sprint 6.5 rom, starting few days ago after setting exchange activesync to manual mode. Steps I took to resolve it -

- Put the phone in 'plane mode'
- Set activesync to sync as soon as items arrive
- Soft reset
- Put the phone in normal mode.

Services.exe is back to 0% of CPU for the past few hours. I don't have any of the programs that the OP has.
