Re: sprint start charge for data
Oh, is the 5Gb cap fairly new? Does Verizon have a data cap? Reason I ask is I plan to make the switch to Sprint from Verizon when the EVO is finally released.
EDIT: Found this info on Data plans - Misconceptions of unlimited data plans EDIT 2: Upon further research, I'm finding that caps are placed on Air Cards, not on Smartphone data usage. Please know, this is all hearsay from people on the internet. If you want to be certain, check your contracts terms & conditions. |
Re: sprint start charge for data
I wonder how much data would be used if google maps was run from my location to Destin Florida when I go on vacation. Wouldn't constantly downloading map graphics constitute a lot of data?
Also, what about streaming music? David |

Re: sprint start charge for data
I use Sirius and slacker daily myself, and have gone over the 5g "limit" and have never been charged on Sprint. This is not to say that one day they may not change, but for now I've never been charged and I know many others on Sprint that go way over the 5 and haven't been charged, so YMMV

Re: sprint start charge for data
I know that for a long time, Sprint's "Phone Data" was "Unlimited" being truly unlimited.
Air Cards and "Phone as Modem" usage had a 5gb cap. My acct. still shows my phone data being "Unlimited" On the link for "Read More about Mobile Broadband Plans" I get the following: Code:

Re: sprint start charge for data
I've used over 7 GB from Sprint 2 or 3 months in a row...never got charged.
I assume the OP is tethering w/out the invisible tether cab. |
Re: sprint start charge for data
sprint 4G doesn't and will not have any caps.. only 3G.. they also say on their website:
