Cant send pic messages on Sprint htc tp2
 

Need help I can receive mms picture messages but i cant send them. It allows me to do the whole sending thing like start pic messaging at the recipient add the pic add text to the message but the recipient never receives it. Im running Sprint htc tp2 with mighty rom windows mobile 6.5 update.

is it properly provisioned for sprint on mighty rom? have you asked this in the mightyrom thread?

lol. that really does make a huge difference. who flashed it for you? was it at a boost store? id really try posting this in the mighty rom thread under tp2 upgrades. mention your on boost.

i had the same issue with mms on tp2 with boost.. Fixed it with a simple cab file look for arcsoft_mms_5_2_6_45u.cab that will enable u to edit the address for the mms to the boost one which is http://mm.myboostmobile.com in the options in text messaging. and you should be able to receive and send mms. As for the flashing question, you dont need to get it flashed there is a work around for it thru the sprint.com website. If you need more details dont hesitate to ask.. kinda flew thru it since im at work..

here's a .cab file that fixes MMS on boost without the arcsoft stuff.

this is not my work. I am a moderator on a really large cell phone related forum and a member there .cabbed this up for me. It is his work, I'm just sharing.

daddymikey1975 i installed the cab and when i try to send a mms i attach the pix to the message and when i hit send it tells me "Cannot recognize one or more recipients or the address is not valid. Would you like to send the message anyway?" i hit yes and then gives me a error message saying " outlook Email, Imap4, and POP3 email accounts cannot be used to send text messages" what i do wrong

Well i havent tried the cab file that daddymike used.. But the Arcsoft one works fine.. Download and install cab on your phone. Go to Messages>All messages>Menu. Scroll down to bottom click MMS options go to CDMA servers Tab>Create new.

On server name put what you would like
gateway blank
port 80
Server address http://mm.myboostmobile.com
connect via sprint
and sending limit put what you would like.
Press done
Save your new server as default and thats it.

I havent had any issues with sending or receiving.

Ok, quick question here. I have MrX Rom on my sprint branded TP2 that I have on Boost Mobile. I have been able to get everything working on the Sprint wm6.5 Rom but it crashes on me a lot and sucks. On MrX I can get everything but mms's working. MrX auto provisions. Should I uninstall them and install the Arcsoft? Install the Arcsoft on top? Just install the boostmmsfix? I have tried several different Arcsofts and had numerous error messages from it wanting the e-mail address like its sending it as mail ont MMS, to Permanant errors, and Message Delivery Failed or Message Reciept failed. Please, I have tried a million different things. Is there a way to make them work or should I just give up? Is there a specific Arcsoft that works best or should I just get the newest?

What you need to do is install the .cab i attached and after you install it do a soft reset. then when your phone restarts
- Slide over to messages
- Click on all messages
- Click on Menu
- Scroll down to messages options or Pics/Video Options select that
- in the bottom menu slide over to Servers
- Click on New
- On server Name put what you would like
- leave gateway blank
- Port 80
-Server address http://mm.myboostmobile.com
- Connect via Sprint
- on sending limit put whatever you like (500K is good enough)
- Press done
- Save your new server as default and thats its
- Close out and if you want you can soft reset again.
now you should be able to send and receive without any problem
if you still cant just reply back and ill work on it.
THIS STEP BY STEP GUIDE IS NOT MY WORK AND I AM NOT TAKING CREDIT FOR IT NOR IS THE .CAB ATTACHED JUST TRYING TO HELP OUT BY TRYING TO MAKE EVERYTHING MORE CLEAR. *NOTE* .cab is for custom roms not stock roms

Ok so I did exactly what you said. Now they try and send, but they end up just sitting in the outbox not going anywhere. It shows they are uploading over and over again, showing the % increasing, and then they stay inthe outbox and the person never gets them.

Like I said I have MrX Sense Rom. I have used the stock one, but it crashes all the time and I have to restart. I can get it all working on the stock. I just want a Rom that will WORK and not make me restart every hour. MrX is the most basic and best preforming one I have found so far, just trying to get this one last part working.

Youll need program called TotalCommander or something similar to it. Dont install any other acrosoft .cab just do what it states on that link and you should be good.

one MightyRoms site I see three different roms. MightyROM_RhodiumW_052410, MightyROM_RhodiumW_032310, MightyROM_RhodiumW_050110. But nothing says Full Force or anything. Is Full Force just the theme you installed?

So with this MM FF, after doing a proper flash, you installed that Arcsoft cab, made those changes and it all worked right? So it stands to reason that if I do the same it should work.

Ok, so hears the deal. I reflashed with MightyROM_RhodiumW_052410. Installed the AcroSoft Cab thats posted a page back, followed the instructions from the same post and MMS is now working flawlessly!!! Thanks. Now I just hope I like this Rom!

NO its only for Sprint tp2 on boost mobile. Are you having problems with your MMS

When you try to send a mms what result do you get. i.e. does it do the whole process of sending but the receiver never receive it, does it give you an error message.

Hopefully someone here can help me out. Prior to flashing EnergyRom 6/23/10 release, I was on MightyRom, forgot which version though.

Ok...I have read, and read, and read about 120 pages from the EnergyRom thread. I've tried all the cabs and workarounds to try to get MMS to work, and yes I have looked at the FAQ's. I'm pretty much at my wits end here.

Previous layout of phone: TP2 w/MightyROM, Arcsoft 5.0.82.79, on Boost Mobile. Everything worked flawlessly.

Current layout: TP2 w/EnergyRom 6/23/10, I've tried Arcsoft 5.0.82.79 and 5.2.8.45 cabs, BoostMMSFix cab, 2.1 and 2.5 manila cabs as stated on EnergyRom thread, and the Zenyee-MightyRom-Arcsoft method as stated by Darklord on the EnergyRom thread, but have not been successful in getting the MMS to work. I am able to send and receive SMS real quick, I can receive MMS but it takes anywhere from 20-30 mins to receive. I cannot send MMS though, phone acts like it's sending MMS but returns "Unable to send message" and sits in my outbox.

Any help on shedding light on sending MMS on EnergyRom for TP2 on Boost would greatly be appreciated. TIA.

go back to mighty rom. once you get it working on a nonofficial carrier of the tp2, like boost or cricket, or metro, consider yourself lucky, and roll with it!

SWEET!!!!:toothy7: HAHA...after tinkering with a few different cabs, I've finally got MMS to work on both EnergyRom 2.1 and 2.5 for TP2s on Boost.

This is what worked for me. After flashing the rom that you want, install the StockBoostMMSfix.cab, soft reset, after TP2 boots u-send yourself/someone a MMS. It'll show the sending icon first, then the check mark, and it'll go through. That's it.

Hopefully this will help some you who are on Boost and want to try different roms. I can't seem to find the thread where DaddyMikey1975 posted the cab for the StockBoostMMSfix, but it's on the forum here, somewhere.

ok im just wondering afer i download how to install in the phone i extracted it got the folder do i just use the usb and transfer this folder to my phones memory if so which location do i save it in ? i have a sd crad also
