These are two of my most used apps. I would LOVE to give android a shot, but I do not agree with the posters claiming it has more functionality than WM when awesome apps like these don't work in it.

I also use WMwifirouter daily.

see, that is crap, winmo 6.1 with mobile shell was very functional and fast without freezeups.

I agree 100%. To claim you "need a custom ROM" to have a functional phone is totally incorrect and very misleading...

Not at all. I consider a functional phone to have such basic features as being able to create start menu folders and rearrange icons without a ****ing regedit.

Anyway, got my incredible. Game over for winmo folks, it's just a beast of a phone.

Think again. As austin said, if the Touch can have a ROM, the superior TP2 should have one too.

umm keep dreaming bud, the internal storage space is not big enough to hold an Android rom. Will not ever happen.

once again, it is a beast of a phone because it has twice the specs.
here you go, in case you come back.

p.s. I'd love to see what the hd2 would run like with my custom ROM. considering the specs and how fast my phone is now...

Not sure about slingplayer but the Sirius android app will be released soon. So your almost there...

Using the semi functioning android port on my touch pro 2 convinced me enough to switch when the Evo is released. I don't care that Google will track me and use my personal info against me in one form or another, they have a good system with solid apps that are useful to me.

A better question is, why aren't you just running it on your phone if you like it so much?

Dual boot ftw!

Soon as I have some free time I'm gonna try out the Ubuntu port. WM/Android/Ubuntu just sounds fun.

Interesting summary on MS's week:

1) HP buys Palm for WebOS
2) HP pulls plug on Win7 based tablet
3) MS supposedly end their pet tablet project
4) iPad, iPad, iPad
5) Android keeps coming
6) Win7 is months away

I plan on getting the Evo and seeing for myself. I feel like mot people on this site are sticking with Winmo because thats all they know and love and its that simple. They don't want to accept the possibility that the grass may be greener on the other side and thats fine. Everyone has some person, or thing that can do no wrong in their eyes. I'm like that with Kevin Garnett. lol. Yeah his skills are diminishing, and he's becoming a bigger jerk than he's ever been, but I can still give you 10 reasons why he's better than the rest.

I don't have a deep-rooted connection to Winmo, its just an OS on a phone, so I'm more than willing to try something new.
