Compressed?? Uncompressed??

Ok so what is really the difference?? Why would one want a compressed ROM over an uncompressed ROM?? And vice versa.

dont know much bout the details but cfc compressed, from what i heard, speeds up sense/manila.

i know that doesnt really answer anything but...

Thanks.So in other words a compressed ROM is better than an uncompressed?

uh, i assume so. i dont know if it would be right to say better but should be faster, i think (which could make it better) i just didnt want it to sound like i say if its not compressed its no good. i seen a lot of cooks in the last couple months that started compressing the rom. so seems to be the new or old to sum, thing to do.

CFC compressed ROMs tend to run faster from what I've read, but the big thing is that it saves space in the ROM by compressing the manila files. Some images get compressed by 50%+ (others not so much), so it can likely save a few MB of space when building the ROM. It also saves a little bit of memory from the short time I was using compressed manila.
