does it look at least look like its copying files over then freezes or does it freeze right when you try copy/paste? if it looks like its trying to copy that means you have 1 or more corrupt files in there somewhere. if thats whats happening try copying each file individually or in smaller portions until you narrow down which file is corrupt.
it does that when i click on any file whether it be a single picture, a single cab, or a folder of stuff.

i was able to put it in my ps3 and copy all my pictures over but it wont open up any music files which is fine because all my music is on my computer anyway.

so from this point how can i reformat the card if whenever i click on it it freezes my windows explorer?

you said you were able to see the contents of the card on your computer just not do anything with it right? Try right clicking the storage card instead of opening it and there should be an option to format card.

even when i right click storage card it freezes the windows explorer on my laptop. Is there a way to format the card on a winmo 6.5 device? i can view the storage card on the samsung omnia 2 (my gf's phone) is there a way to format directly on the phone?

yea i know there's a way on our pro2's but couldn't tell ya if its available on the omnia. im running stock sprint 6.5 & on my pro 2 its located in the tools folder in start menu.

thanks i tried to format using that app but it says unable to write to storage card...unable to format

i guess my card just crapped out on me. i had it a little over a year. i cant do anything else with it i guess ill have to shop for a new one

Is it possible you set encryption up on your card? I believe I have had this issue once where my laptop couldn't read card when I had the encryption enabled.

For me I am running MR March 23rd release (sense 2.5) and it's under the settings tab>security

Just wanted to let you know you are not alone! My 16gb card did/does the same exact thing. It went along working fine on the TP and the TP2 and then one day it started locking up the phone so when I tested it without the card, of course, it worked perfectly. Then when I tried to format the card I got the same issue. I suspect it is from taking it out so often. Maybe it scratched it or whatever but it seems to be in the great beyond!

Let me know if you find anything out! and I will do the same.
