Run this program and it will ask you about the setting when screen is off (mine reverts down to 604 when screen is off). Just run that and get it all setup how you like it. [don't forget to thank me son, lol] |

Thanx especially to nayr1482 for the detailed installation instructions and the OC_Auto4.21 CAB. (Thank'd) Running successfully at 768 (and climbing... slowly!). I always thought Sense slowed the device down. I've primarily used the "old school" Start screen (not even Titanium) just to have a bit more responsiveness. Now everything is much more "snappy". Best upgrade so far! |
Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?
Sorry for being an idiot, but can some one link to the mortscript download please?
I found one but it's a zip file not a cab, and I'm not even sure it's the right file. Got it from some site named after a city on Discworld I think! Thanks in advance. PS What does mortscript do? |

On a tangent... Mortscript is named (as far as I can tell) after the character Mort (Death's apprentice). It simply allows the running of "scripts" to control applications on the device. Not a very technical answer. I'm sure others can offer a more detailed answer. From the author's page: Short description MortScript interprets a (quite) simple batch language. If you know .bat files in DOS or shell scripts: it's something like that. Its focus is to remote control or launch other applications, not to write real applications. I.e., you can't do complex dialogs or graphics with it. It's more an hacker tool without a nifty interface, you have to write your scripts with any text editor. For beginners, this might be a bit too complicated. However, it's still far more easy to use than e.g. C++. Now back to your regularly scheduled thread... |

Also do this: Msm7kCpuSpeed - INSTALL TO PHONE Mortscript - Does not matter (I install to SD card) OC_Auto - INSTALL TO SD CARD. After you install all 3, just run the OC_Auto, and do what it says and you will be fine. |

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?
hey nayr, just checking back in. i was using SetCpuSpeed since i couldnt get previous versions of oc_auto to work. well i eventually noticed SetCpuSeed was either erroring out, closing due to low memory, or something so i removed it and installed oc_auto 4.2 and everything has been fine every since. Ive been running @ 768 just fine. =D>

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?
Thanks fellas, so far this is smoking. I like the damn phone it's just been miserably slow since I got it 8 months ago. It's actually fixed so issues I'd not been able to address before. In sense I'd not been able to finger slide at all between home and settings on the app bars. I had to click over one at a time. Now it's smooth as owl shit. Thanks everyone. I'll have this phone for a long time now
