you didnt need to disable all sleep and screen off settings, the script prevents issues with this.

i assume you installed Netrippers v2 OCing app? because without it, you are not OC'ed right now! to check if your phone is OC'ed, open Netrippers app (dont change anything using it, but you can open it to see your current speed - close after checking speed).

*make sure you guys are installing Netripper's app to your phone (default install location)

Alright got that, do I need to install SetCpuSpeed cab too?

you use either the script OR setcpuspeed, not both.

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?

I only installed two cabs to get the overclock to work The Mxm7kCpuSpeed v2 and the SetCpuSpeed-1.0 cab.

Let's try this again.....I think that I have this running now
  1. Installed Netrippers OC
  2. I installed Mortscript<LI sizcache="3" sizset="347">I installed OC_Auto4.1_GUI.zip
  3. I disabled all sleep and screen off settings (Aparently not necessary, but a habbit now from using Android)
  4. Set safe mode to 604/10000
  5. set clock to 768/604
  6. set polling to 1200
running great in WM!
Am not able to boot to Android though :???:

when i get a call while talking the screen shuts off, if i try to turn the screen on while talking it will not turn on, if i unplug the phone the amber light stays lit like it's still plugged in, i can still talk, but i have to reset my phone to be able to get back into it

this happen to anyone else, doesn't happen unless i'm talking on the phone, not sure if the 1st time it happened if i had it plugged in or not

My phone was doing this same thing with the setcpuspeed program. Yesterday morning, I hard reset for cleanup purposes, and installed the script rather than the program. The phone has been running great since. Are you using the program, or the 4.1 script?

That's strange, I've been running aguenter322's setcpuspeed 1.0b cab file since it's release, with zero SOD or lockup issues so far. Moreover, turning the screen back on during long calls has not been a problem here either.

If it helps anyone, I've used the settings below without any issues yet:

Overclock 710 / 528 or 710 / 604 or 729 / 528 or 729 / 604
Backlight set to dim at 30 seconds and sleep at 5 minutes on battery.
Backlight set to dim at 1 minute and sleep at 10 minutes on AC power.
ROM: Vin's Pluto 6.5.x 23569 Sense 2.5 with Co0kie Mod cab installed

Please note that my TP2 clock speed has only been verified with msm7kcpuspeed and by score increases in Test OpenGL.

In regard to overall performance, there appears to be a noticeable speed increase when opening and running apps. Plus, the torus portion of the OpenGL 3d test shows a gain of around 18% to 20% here when the processor is overclocked by 34% to 710 or by 39% to 729.

On the down side, I've noticed a little extra heat from the unit during use, by feel and by using the Thermo app by Xetra, as well as a little less battery life, based on normal use levels prior to the overclock.

Your mileage will vary...

Best to all,
R

yeah this is a known issue. cpu has to be at 528 to boot android as far as I know

Yes exactly happen 2 me on Energy Aug 1st rom. Very fast on that rom.
I just flashed this mournin "Vindows neodium" rom latest and not happening anymore.
Its a trade off as web browsing better, but seems little bit speed less.
not shure though, so will start using some test apps.

EDIT: Has anyone found a good benchmarking app that can be used to measure voltage as well?

found some apps posting below.

A few posted here already and also need mortscript app for that solution.
Other solution is just the stand-alone cab, also posted sory mayby someone else can post link.
It would be great if "threadstarter" or anyone on first page could edit & update their post with all lastest solutions so many coming here wont be lost as to were the goodies are scattered here.
Also could just go outside this thread and click the paperclip icon.

Give it a try. Like I said, it worked on mine. The script you need can be found HERE from nayr's post number 175. I'm actually using v4, not v4.1, but the difference is only a failsafe timeout at startup, and I'd rather my phone start faster. It can be disabled in the gui, so go for v4.1. msm7kcpuspeed will need to be installed as usual for this to work, but does not need to be opened for anything other than checking the cpu speed to be sure the script is running. Scripts go in the storage card. shortcut to OC_auto4 goes in the startup folder in your windows directory, and remember to run OC_auto_GUI to select the desired overclock speed. Soft reset for good measure. Any problems, pull the SD card and soft reset.

Don't forget to hit the thanks buttons if you use their stuff. nayr, 240 rep? I'ma try and fix that. :) Anyone else showing recent dedication to this, chime in and claim your praise as well.

alright i'm running with the script, hopefully this resolves that issue, but i guess only time will tell

Re: Overclock TP2 in WM?

Question about the OC_Autov4.1 script.

I had been using the setcpuspeed-1.0d.cab, but just moved to the OC_Auto4.1 script. Everything was working with setcpuspeed, but I like the flexibility of the OC_Auto4.1 script.

I uninstalled the setcpuspeed-1.0d cab, verified it was gone. I then put the OC* scripts onto my storage card, and created a link from the storage card\OC_Auto4.1.mscr to \windows\startup

I then ran OC_Auto4.1_GUI.mscr and setup the settings I wanted, I chose not to setup a failsafe mode.

I then soft reset and used msm7kcpuspeed to verify the cpu speed and it is set to 528, not the710 I configured it for. I then manually set the speed to 710 and it stays there. I can see mortscript.exe running. Why isn't the cpu speed getting set to 710 (configured value) automatically upon soft reset?

Is there a way I can tell if the mortscript.exe running is OC_Auto4.1?

thanks,
dave

i was having the same issue

do you have the files in a folder on your card ???

thats what i had 1st, i then had to copy them directly to the main directory on the card and it worked, dunno if the safe mode is working because it's not given me any option to boot into that
