I vary rarely keep any programs running in the background, and this habbit hasn't changed between the two versions.

Just popping in to see if anyone else experienced this and if there have been any improvements in recent releases.

I almost certainly have narrowed this issue to sharing my location with Google Latitude. Doesn't seem to effect 6.1 roms, but the new ones are a different story for some reason.
