SPB Mobile Shell Facebook trouble

I can not use my status update widget. Its sends me to a log in page then once i log in just reloads the same page or freezes. I can use the IE or Opera alone 2 log in to FB fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

Same thing happens with the Twitter widget.

I've just given up using them until the new version of mobile shell comes out.

for FB i found that setting IE as default browser works.

In IE
tools
options
other
check tell me if ie is not set to default.

exit browser and reopen, it will prompt nd you can say yes make default.

now log into the FB widget.

As far as twitter, I can't get that one working either

i went back to 3.5.0 since mobile shell seems to keep screwing things up in the updates. but then when I went to 6.5.3 custom ROM, it killed facebook and twitter anyways. mobile shell doesn't like the new IE I guess.

And when i try 2 use the MySpace app it just says "unable to connect now shutting app down." weak.

this sucks. The rom I am using doesnt have IE installed i wonder if thats the problem?

Same thing has been happening to me both faceboook and tweeter freezes phone up and then i have to do a soft reset im gonna try setting ie aas default browser and see if that works! I will post the results.......

I havent been able to get either one to work on a custom ROM but If I flash back to Stock VZW 6.5 then Twitter works but facebook still dosent.
I havent tried setting PIE as my default browser yet tho.

Heres something you guys might try if your running a 6.5.3 ROM.
I found it over at xda. Some ppl say it fixes the problem on the 6.5.x series.

Use at your own risk, I havent tried as I dont use 6.5.x.

has anyone found a fix for this yet? none of which is suggested is working for me
