Re: WinMo 6.5 Issues!

Which version of Mighty Rom do you guys recommend? Looks like I might have to go that route too...

Re: WinMo 6.5 Issues!

I may be looking at a custom rom for the first time myself after this experience. If I wanted a phone that was incapable of multitasking, I would have an iPhone (at least that does what it does well)! I just can't believe they would put out a "stock" ROM that seems to require more resources than the phone has to operate correctly. I am going to try hard resetting once, and if that doesn't work, I'm off to custom ROM land...

Re: WinMo 6.5 Issues!

Strange I don't have that, looks like I have to hard reset yet again. Did you bring over your contacts and texts from the last ROM? or did you not bring anything over at all?

Re: WinMo 6.5 Issues!

I'm having the same problem with freezing. I just took it to the Sprint store and they reflashed their version of stock 6.5 per my request - I thought maybe I got a bad download. The results were the same, and my guess is that this has to do with how Sense relates to a large amount of contacts stored in the phone. I have over 650 contacts stored, and before I synced to my server at work, I tried sending and receiving texts - that is where I hang up the most. No problems at all. Once I sync to my server and bring in all of the contacts, the phone hangs when I try to back out of a text message from someone in my contact list. I had a friend of a friend text me who was not in my contact list, and no problem at all. Also, I turned off sense and used the Windows default menu, and I had zero problems with anything. So, I'm sure this issue has to do with Sense.

For those of you stating you don't have any problems, I'm wondering if you can tell us how many contacts you have stored on your phone. Just curious. Thank you!

P.S. my TP2 ran absolutely flawlessly on 6.1 and I doubt that it is a hardware problem.

Yeah MBC1965 you hit the nail on the head. I've had the exact same problems. I just hard reset and didn't bring any text messages over this time. Let's see how long it takes before it starts hanging again. I think the messaging is messed up in Sense too. I have over 500 contacts.

I've had the same problems since the 6.5 update. Hard resetting only helped for a lil while. I want to get a custom rom. Is there a way i can flash back to the stock just in case i have 2 send my phone to verizon?

I'm interested in your results! My guess is without any contacts or texts you won't have a problem. Let me know, thanks! I also think it would be a good idea for all of us that are having problems to start emailing HTC to let them know as well. I've already sent my comment to them.

you can always flash back to the stock rom after going custom.
