Re: NV ITEMs (CDMA TP2)

I should also add, the seller of this phone had no problem with the GPS, like I said before, I believe him.

I guess you are roaming right?
I didn't know sprint had a network in canada. I wonder if you are roaming that could be the source of your trouble.
Are you using the gsm part of your tp2? Maybe gps doesn't work on the tp2 on gsm?
I really don't think your rom is the problem. GPS should work fine with the stock rom. If you have quickgps, have assisted gps enabled with at least a 32kb log file, have your location set to on, and have a good signal then gps should work unless you've got a hardware problem. Good Luck to you!

he flashed it to work in Canada so i think its not on sprint anymore. unless im mistaken i would think it would be on a Canadian network. which maybe the problem.

Re: NV ITEMs (CDMA TP2)

Yes, I flashed it to work on Canadian CDMA network.

Maybe someone can tell me if Sprint TP2's gps will function under GSM mode, I do have a rogers account with activated SIM card that works on my TP2 (of course, no GPS, tested)

I am asking for a dumpped copy of NV ITEMs because I suspect during the trail and error of making it working on the Canadian network I may have screwed something up in the NV... unless someone can confirm for me when I do ##786# it resets the NV back to factory value, much like it resets the PRI and PRL back to factory values.

I also tried to use the so-called "verizon agps fix" which uses telus AGPS server, same problem.

Aside from my vogue, my diamond and touch pro 1 are both from the states, and GPS functions correctly.

"verizon agps fix" uses telus (canadian) agps server, because it is accessible by any network.

maybe I should start a thread and list all the GPS fixes I have found and didn't work for me... lol...
