its not hard to see to see the point, just give it time and the price of the 16gb micro cards will be reasonable at least for the class 4's

i wouldn't mind getting 1 but i haven't searched enough to find 1 at a decent price around 30-40 wouldn't be bad but no way $100 ill put up with my 2 8gb Sandisks for that price and i got them both for around 40

Yes, 3-1/2 years and the original 2GB card is about 8% of its original price. I could not find any useful price history for microSD media, but it certainly isn't a linear decline. Probably closer to geometric (i.e. 200 now, 100 in a year, 50 in 2 years, 25 in 3). Could go faster if SDXC takes off, though.

Yeah - that's such an totally glaringly trivially obvious point ("the price point of tech stuff declines over time") that I thought maybe I was missing something deeper and a real point. Guess not .... OK

yeah i'm sure that all of us will have a 32gb if needed as long as the price drops over time, just like Almost Everything else does over time.

it is nice that there is finally a 32gb micro card but for that price ill add
2 more 8 gb cards for $40 and be lugging around 32gb of memory for 80 bucks

It's got nothing to do with appearances (it's real) - due to the tilt of the earth's axis during its orbit, it ACTUALLY DOES set in different locations. Also, that's what causes seasons! Cool!
