HTC WiFi Router and Sprint 6.5 ROM - Page 2

Same problem for me. Router cab nor ICS WModem Fix cab work after installing 6.5 update... Ugh.

I use w@p CM Wifi Internet Sharing on the new Sprint 6.5 rom without any problems. This version does not replace any graphics in the comm manager. It just installs HTC Wifi Internet Sharing reboots your device and voila your good to go! I have yet to get a bill yet seeing as how new rom has only been out since Friday. I have noticed that with the new Sprint 6.5 rom that the wireless is actually consistent and more reliable then before. I found this cab from http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=4170499. You must have a different Sprint 6.5 ROM from the one I have. There's no WiFi Router that's shown in my Comm Manager.

there comm manager is set up for it. it just dont appear cuz they didnt include it. the sprint rom is pretty damn messy when u look at its guts.

I'm not trying to be dense(er than I really am), but I don't understand how it's "set up for it" but not included. Is it in some way "set up" that other Comm Managers are not? If so, what's needed in order to to activate HTC WiFi Router and get it working?

I installed this and works fine via wifi icon or wireless controls in settings tab.

ACHlLLES, does the cab you found only work with JD's ROM's?? I only ask because the cab I provided above works without any problems whatsoever on the new Sprint 6.5 ROM. In fact I have even checked my data usage and I have not incurred any additional charges as of YET. The only difference I can see between the cab I found and the one you found is that yours adds that switch to the comm manager and your cab does not appear to work once installed and rebooted on the stock sprint 6.5 ROM.

I went the extra mile and hard reset my phone and installed the cab you found and it did not work being that it was the only app installed from a clean hard reset. I hard reset again using the cab I found and it worked without a single problem. It would be nice to have the switch in the comm manager though.....any suggestions?
