new pro 2, voice command doesn't work.can someone confirm or advise if this is only ?

Good morning to all my ppcgeeks, i just got my touch pro 2 this week. i had the pro and just put the new rom update they had for on htc and that rom update enabled the voice command to announce calls coming through. but witht eh touch pro 2 i found out it doesn't announce the call either thru the blue tooth or the phone, can someone help me with this issue or advise if they have the same issue. Much thanks always appreciated.

Widcomm stack issue. Won't be fixed until someone cooks the MS stack into a ROM

so with teh new rom that came out for the pro that fixed its issues but since the pro 2 is new its basically having the same issues that the pro had when it first came out?

There is a reg fix here someplace to allow it to announce the calls through the phone speaker (it involves change the value of a key to "ring"). If you search this forum for voice announce you should find it. After doing that my TP2 (Sprint) does announce the incoming calls over the phone speaker.

As far as I've seen though there is no way yet due to the BT stack used to get it to announce over BT. I believe that is supposed to be fixed when WM 6.5 is released.

I found the reg fix that worked for me.

Change:
HKCU\ControlPanel\Sounds\TTSAnnounce\Category
from VoiceCommand1 to Ring

That at least lets it announce incoming calls (make sure the option is turned on in the Voice Command options) over the phone's speaker.

not sure how to do what you just advised on changing thre info. is there a way you can break it down for me just a lil more easier, i do applogize but if you can thanks.

This is such a drag for me because it is one of the features that I really liked from my previous phone (Diamond). I did the regedit, changing it to "ring", now VC works, but once it starts announcing the caller it mutes my ringtone. Please help, I need this to work for me. I already soft reseted. Any advice?

Just for grins, you did turn on "announce incoming calls" correct? And it's still set to announce? My voicecommand works fine however I am on a custom rom but I believe it worked for me as well when I was on the stock rom.
