Are you guys talking about tethering with Internet sharing. if so then you may have to re-install the tethering hack to get it to give you the free internet sharing again. you have to re-install programs like that whenever you flash a new rom or update the older ones.

1 - skip

skip

3. using a regedit program

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
Extension="" Delete the "isext.dll" entry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings]
ForceCellConnection="Sprint"

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
MaxCMCon=0

[HKLM\Services\CMGuardian]
Flags = 4 (it's a DWORD Value. if it doesn't exist. you need to create it)

4 - soft reset
5 - Start the Internet Sharing application.
6 - Select Sprint under type of connection.
7 - Hit Connect In the Internet Sharing application.
8 - Connect to the Laptop/PC via USB
9 - Done. No other applications needs to run on the PC/Laptop.

but skip option 2 and work usb style havent tried bluetooth but it has option of bluetooth thoe usb work fine

Thats exactly what I did and It worked great. The only thing is that It didn't work for me untill I hard reset my phone and started fresh. I used this Registry edit which was very easy. I've never used one before. And it works great with usb, waiting to try it on bluetooth when i get home but that can be a while since I just got to work (o=

I've tried BooBoo's way twice and I just keep getting "none" in the pull down box. What is the best way to do it without worrying about getting a huge bill from Sprint?

Re: Sprint 6.5 Update & Tethering?

Interesting dilemma. I recently flashed my rom to 6.5 and followed the instructions listed on this thread (and everything worked). I had problems similar to one of the posters where stuff wouldn't stay. However, I applied one of the cabs again and it seemed to work. After that I decided to hard reset my device again so I could install the cleanup cab and tweaks. Now I'm having the same problem as the other poster who can't get it to say connect. I've tried every cab and registry edit and can't get them to work. I'm going to try a hard reset and than follow everything step by step. Any suggestions feel free.

I have the same problem. I appreciate your help if you find the solution. I have hard reboot my device and install all possible cabs with no luck.

I tethered using wmodem before on TP w 6.1. This no longer works as I am now stucked on the username verifyscreen when I dial in. I have a feeling some additional changes are also needed to get wmodem to work on TP2 W/ 6.5. Much appreciate any suggestion. Thanks

hmm for 6 - Select Sprint under type of connection., does this mean where it says PC Connection: I should now be able to drop down to Sprint instead of USB? hmm brain fart but Im thinking it should just read USB. ahH thanks.
