Re: Just because I'm curious--Turn Off/On vs Soft Reset
Those programs don't shut down by powering the phone off then back on?

Re: Just because I'm curious--Turn Off/On vs Soft Reset
honestly i dont have a 100% straight answer but to me that is common sense, that it reacts the same way as in it shuts down all programs an such just as a reset would

Re: Just because I'm curious--Turn Off/On vs Soft Reset
you made it a bit confusing w/ your posts...1st you said it would be better/faster w/ a soft reset but op is asking if its different between a soft reset an power off/on. but i see you cleared it up...

Re: Just because I'm curious--Turn Off/On vs Soft Reset
I think what happens when you turn on and off. It resets your connection so the phone tries to connect to towers and etc. On a soft reset the phone never really turned off just flushed its ram. Similar to difference between taking out the battery and putting it back in.
This is a guess of course but makes sense.

Re: Just because I'm curious--Turn Off/On vs Soft Reset
there the same thing...the soft reset just is faster...its exactly like restarting your computer as compared to shutting it down and then turning it back on...if the phones running faster after a soft reset than a power off and back on its just in your imagination...
