Disabling NAI/Tethering Detection (hopefully) Using a registry editor, navigate to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\WModem" key, and set the "CheckProfile", "Multi-NAI" and "WModemDUN" DWORDS to a decimal value of "0". Remember to soft reset for the changes to take effect. if i am using wmodem, that'S the only reg change I need to make on my TP2 right? I don't need to have the other 3 reg lines mentioned in this thread? |

Re: Does this really work?-Mr. X and MightyMike Tethering Tracking Hotfix
There are 2 .exe in windows.1 from sys,1 from sprint
IntShrUI.exe from sys and its clean IntShr.exe-garbage file (never comes with the SYS leaks.Normally its in OEM_drivers pack of any shipped ROM) Mr.X and MM hot fix is a renamed sys IntShrUI.exe to IntShr.exe to kill that bad .exe and keep USB to PC PopUp function IntShrUI.exe can be triggered from start menu IntShr.exe starting up if you select "Internet Sharing" from Usb to PC popup. Hope that helps

Re: Does this really work?-Mr. X and MightyMike Tethering Tracking Hotfix
im stock 6.5 yes... i use ICS, WMWififRouter(which starts ICS on boot), and CM Internet Sharing(another wifi app)...
i tether just about every way possible except using your severely outdated method.... what were trying to tell you is you dont need WModem anymore to gain usb tethering |

Re: Does this really work?-Mr. X and MightyMike Tethering Tracking Hotfix
Just wanted to inform everybody that recently this "stealth" tethering cab fix is no longer "stealth". (Mr.X and Mighty Mike's stealth tethering cab) Let me explain...
Usually when you tether with usb cable you open the internet connection sharing app on your phone and press "connect". you then see the error message on the top of you phone's screen saying "no connection, check usb cable...". then you simply connect the usb cable and it will connect. It would then say "not connected" but actaully it is connected and does work. As of recently my TP2 now says "connected" instead of "not connected" when i tether in the manner I described above. I uninstalled, reinstalled, hard reset my TP2, etc, and still it is no longer "stealth" when tethered. It continues to say "connected" instead of "not connected". Something has changed. Can anybody else confirm this??
