Sprint pamphlet says WinMo 6.5 in March for TP
 

Got a business mailer today "Sprint Small Business Catalog" with all the phones and plans, offers, etc.

Only interesting thing I found was a table about smart phones noting that the TP2 is "(upgradeable software available in March)" under the Windows Mobile 6.5 row.

Let's hope it's true!

i hope it does come. of course, i'll aready be running it on the hd2. the sprint guy i talked to said 6.5 was coming in september lol.

well id love to have sprint 6.5... every1 doesnt flash roms u know... but if sprint doesnt hurry up, i may have to give a custom rom a shot. im tired of sprint always being last

You might as well do it now. From my personal experience stock ROMs are always laggy, and slow than cooked ROMs.

Once you try custom you'll never go back. We are just waiting for the new sprint to disassembled and take improvements. You will know once you try.

something i've been wondering, but wasn't sure about... when the stock 6.5 rom comes out can we just upgrade like normal even if we hardSPL'd our tp2?

ive never flashed a custom rom but always wanted to give MR a shot. what ive got from reading around here is that most stock roms are laggy just like most customs roms are buggy. no rom is perfect...

I have only used Might Mike's ROMs on my TP1 and now the TP2 and now using Mr. X 2.5/6.5 ROM and loving it. IMO Sprints doesn't come close. The Flashes are worth it to me.:headbang:

I wouldn't say they are buggy...what can get buggy are the roms using the "latest and greatest" and "experimental" roms..if you flash a standard/clean rom they work perfectly fine.

once android has the power options all working screen turning off all the way phone standby not draining batt etc. stock will be nice to have at least

As a chef, and a tester, I've noticed that the Stock Sprint Touch Pro2 ROM was pretty rock solid. Fairly new 210 6.1 build, extremely fast graphics rendering, and large bold fonts for every manila application and menu.

Having built, tried and tested, Custom roms (read: all of them) and made my own release ROM still lacks some small things than make this one in particular shine

Larger field for Sense Slider, Larger Manila Text Fonts, Faster Graphics acceleration etc that the Carriers get to pick and choose from

I wonder if the Sprint Tech and Repair Center people have the ROM at hand from their systems, would be great if a lone leak trickled down the pipe..

i think u guys are crazy, i have flashed every major rom on here and even mightys off. 2.1 release is buggy, i have ultimatly ended back at the stock rom not much as far as form, but function gets an a+ no doubt, just mho.

I Have heare several veriations but the most consistant info I've gotten is...WM6.5 for Sprint is schedualed to be released the "End of Q1" and even more enteresting HTC is schedualed to release TP3 with WM7 at the end of Q4 2010.

agreed right now using energroms latest and so far so good alot more stable then any custom I have tried thus far. Hopefully sprints stock 6.5 is as stable as stock 6.1

i agree, we've already seen the twitters and the official word from HTC and Sprint that its coming end of March, that scan only says what we already knew, and like most people stated we will proably have to wait till the end of March because giving it to us before the last couple of days just wouldn't make any sense, Sprint actually give us something much earlier then expected, yeah right.

i keep checking the software update page when im at work, normally it gets updated only 2-3 days before the software is released, and nothing yet. i say march 31, last day of 1q and typical sprint style lol.
