You figure WTF...I paid to see the show!!! The usher explains that they just got a new popcorn machine, and a new soda machine and it doesn't appear you have either of these items in your hands. You kindly tell the usher that you don't want any popcorn or soda as you're not hungry or thirsty. You just want to see the show you paid for and that you've been going here for years and didn't have to pay for those items in the past unless you wanted them.

What do you guys do in this situation?

I chose to forfeit seeing the movie at that particular theater even though I was OK with the admission price. I could care less rather or not they got new equipment. Sure, that popcorn may be mighty tasty and that soda better than I ever had but I don't think I should have to purchase it just because they purchased the equipment to make it.

I hope you all can understand what is being discussed here. I'd find it hypocritical based on principle for you to attend the theaters next time without purchasing a tub of popcorn or a drink so that you can support the movie theater, increase their profits and provide them with better infrastructure so that it makes yours and everyone elses movie watching experience that much better
