Re: Verizon outgoing mail server
I'm confused - if the email account you are trying to access is on rr.com, Verizon's servers should have nothing to do with anything. With my Verizon TP2 I access my Comcast email via POP of mail.comcast.net and outgoing of smtp.comcast.net. Use whatever the email client on your home PC uses.

Re: Verizon outgoing mail server
You can use your rr.com account to send mail. Delete the account first. When you set it up do it manual then, put in your email address > your Name & the account name. (this will display what ever you named it) > Next Incoming Mail Server & Account type. This is a POP3 Next > User Name & Password check save password Next > Now here is the trick Put in the Outgoing SMTP Mail Server for example : smtp-server.nycap.rr.com:587 this is for New York and 587 is the port. Now Check the box for server requires authentication & chekcthe box for Use the same user name and password for sending e-mai and wham! you can send mail from your phone. This will work cause I do this for a living. Try it!
