Screen goes black, then wont lightback-up

everything works fine, but ill hit the power button, to lock or turn of the screen, and ill hit it again to wake it up, and it doesnt wake up, when i hit the end calll and send buttons at the bottom they light up and when i slide out the keyboard it lights up.
ive tried 2 different ROMS now the energy rom and now the WAR ROM by mighty, still no change any ideas?

is this a hardware issue or software?

also i get all the noises, and vibrations like im moveing from tab to tab, but still a black screen
