It's not a TP2 specific problem. I've been using sprint (or the network at least) for years. Some phones seem to get stuck in 1x sometimes. Usually placing a call to the voicemail or anything will jump it back, if not, a quick power down will usually work. If those don't work, you're probably just in a bad area.
