TP2 - Bad Microphone/Mic issue

My Microphone has went out on my Touch Pro 2. Apparently, this mic issue is somewhat common.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

Take it to the Sprint store and let them know what's going on. They should be able to order a refurb for you.

Common? Not sure about that. I've gone through at least 10 TP2s & have never had a mic go out completely. My friend's TP2 has crappy gain, but that was fixed with a reg edit. If you search here, you'll find the thread with the reg edit.

As to a fix, maybe try a soft reset, if not...hard reset.

My mic went also after 22 months. Waiting on a 2nd refurb that works. 1st replacement had a bad speaker (not ear piece).

It's common in my household...had to get a refurb...

I found the program for the reg edit, but, how do I fix that?

Turn off Auto Gain/Volume Control if you haven't tried it.
