Is innocase surface worth the money?
Hello I have been looking for a few days for a case for my TP2. From the looks of it and some reviews i like the Innocase Surface case but $30 is a lil steep and I am not sure i would want to fork out $30. What case is 2nd to this? lol Please let me know what you all feel about this case and other cases. I tried to look for a coupon code for the Innocase but had no luck. Also i dont like i have to spend $50 in order to get free shipping. HELP ME !!!!!!!

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I bought a cheap version of it on amazon, and it didnt fit right. I bought the innocase and couldnt be happier! well worth the $30

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
First off, the obligatory search-first-because-this-has-been-asked-a-million-times.
With that out of the way, in my opinion it is well worth the money. It fits much better than the super cheap ones you can find on eBay that are in the $5-10 range. A lot of people like the Body Glove one which you can find a bit cheaper than the Seidio case. I got mine on eBay for $15 a couple months back. But I personally like the Seidio more than the Body Glove because the Body Glove one is just too bulky. If you're looking for a deal on the Seidio, consider buying at Amazon. I got mine there and it is excellent. Amazon sells them directly for $22.46 plus free shipping if you spend over $25. I found a pen I needed using filleritem.com which brought my total over $25 so I got free shipping. I believe this is the best deal for the Seidio you'll be able to find. |
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I too just bought my Seidio case from amazon and could not be happier. The fit is perfect and the best part about it is that it only adds a few millimeters to the thickness of your phone.
I used the Innocase for my TP1 too so I kind of knew the quality I was getting before I bought it. I have had no problems with either of my Seidio cases and would recommend them to anyone looking for a case. |
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
My Innocase has already saved my TP2 once, so for me it's definitely been worth the price. I managed to get a free shipping deal from Seidio, but the Amazon deal they're talking about beats even that. I would totally recommend to go for it!

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I purchased the innocase II and holster combo from amazon, I've had it for a month, have dropped my phone probably 3 times in that time ( from my hand) and no scratches or dent's couldn't be happier I highly recommend it well worth the money. the holster keeps it well snug that it wont slip out as well as the face in design makes it easier to hear incoming rings.

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
i know this is late, but wanted to add this, not only is it a superb case, but there warranty department is awesome. the top left clip of the front piece broke on mine. i jumped on the website and was offered to chat to a rep, which i did. she sent me to an rma form and told me i should hear back in 48 hours. well, 4 days later i still hadnt had a response. i sent it in friday night so just assumed it was delayed because of the weekend. rolls around to next friday, still nothing. well i was out running errands and figured i would call them when i was done, went to get my mail and low and behold they had sent me a whole new case, not just the front and it had been there since wednesday. wished they had let me know but it was a good surprise!

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
Handsdown Seidio innocase is superior to all the rest. I purchased the holster combo and never looked back. As with the other responses I have tried all the others and for your money and investment no matter where you buy it from "Seido is the best period"
=D> |
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
So if you purchase it on amazon.com and one of the corners doesn't snap on right, can you still do a warranty claim thru Seidio?
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
didn't think I'd like it...because MOST cases are bulky...and you "look" even nerdier and geekier than you ever did before (we are all geeks and nerds anyway...)
Love the innocase...worth the money...and if a hip holster/clip is your thing...the clip that fits the innocase is swell too... |

Yes. When i spoke to Seidio CS rep, they told me that as long as it was within 180 days and i still had the reciept/packing slip the warranty still applied. But i would always call and double check if you still have your reciept/packing slip since different reps can say different things. ___________________ Hope This Helps, If It Does Thanks Is Appreciated  |

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
Ok i think that i am finally convinced to order me one :-) I dont think i want a holster i might just get a leather case to put mine in. I just wanted to know before I spend $30 and the case is as good as an $5-10 case, but i see its better and a warranty i think i know what direction i need to go then

5 Attachment(s)
Here are some pics of the $5 case I just got today. Soft Touch finish. Seems to fit pretty well and tight. No complaints. Well worth the under $10 delivered cost IMHO..

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
those cheap cases are at least twice as thick as the innocase
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
OK OK OK i bite the bullet and ordered the case last week instead of one of the cheaper ones. so far so good. i can see how it can save my phone if/whenever i drop it.
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
i like mine too. i just wish the cradle wasn't so lame that seidio had to go with it
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
All I know is that the case already paid for itself. Dropped my phone back in december. The case save my phone from asphalt damages. The case took the entire hit. Worth every penny.

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I have the Innocase and spring clip holster for my TP2. Love it, have no complaints. I actually get compliments from co workers on the case and the general feel of the case. Well worth it in my opinion
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
Just got my case some days ago and I can't imagine trying a different one, this is a perfect fit, the texture feels great and doesn't interfere with phone usage at all.
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
Yea it feels good. i have read that people stated that they cant tell its on there but i can. maybe b/c i pay attention to detail alot. its not a huge difference but i think it is a good case.

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
Ok there is one think so far I don’t like about this case and maybe it is because it is new. It’s hard to hold in your hand when you talk on the phone. It seems to be a little slippery. I don’t know because it’s new or what? Did anyone else have this issue with the case?

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I got the innocase holster combo last Thursday, I must say I love it, fits very snug, is light weight, high quality precision design and adds nearly no bulk to my tp2. The rubberized texture feels great. I have used the cheap $15 snap on case and that added alot of bulk to it, not to mention when used with the belt clip the phone faced outwards making the screen vunerable to damage, and the part of the case always pop off if dropped or bump. I also purchased the silicone skin that is like the boxwave from EBAY and this one is good for the $12, but hands down the Seido is much thinner and much more of a professional product. It is definately worth the money I spent on Amazon which was $37.46. I also wanted to mention that the silcone skin from EBAY will fit the seidio holster if you decide that you want the silcone skin with a good quality holster.

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I like the Innocase Surface but Seidio is so hard to work with on warranty stuff. The front cover for it cracked in half. I am waiting on them to send me a new one. It has saved my a$$ a few times though.
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I dropped my phone from about 4 feet high and it hit asphault. The case took the hit without any damage to the phone. The case has paid for itself IMO.

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
Dropped mine yesterday for the first time as well. On asphalt getting out of my car. I was so upset because I'm always so careful with it. The Innocase got a scratch on one corner but that was it. So glad I have this case. Its the least noticeable and does a good enough job protecting the phone.
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I just dropped mine the same way and on asphalt too. Sucks my innocase suffered a couple of scratches, but the phone is fine, money well spent :)
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
so does the screen go in or out when in the holster???
|
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
screen faces in. innocase makes great product. not cheap, but good stuff. had one on my previous phone (blackberry 8830) with a holster. also have one on my tp2.

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
After 6 months of taking the case on/off and dropping onto everything hard the only sign of problem is the little little platic lips that hold the case to the front of the phone area breaking down and the cover comes off easier ... doesn't fall off mind you just easier so slightly less secure ...
that being said ... I would have bought a brand new one after 2 months with how much it saved my phone! I am suprised its taken the beating it has. Holster clip is great but not great if you carry/move alot of heavy big objects. I don't mean briefcases ... I mean 2x4's plywood ... big ass boxes. I have hit the release clip a few times and dropped the phone but its not meant for the environment I put it in so I have no real problem with how it operates. Works excellent when I stay away from heavy lifting :) |
Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
So far i like mine. i can see where the little plastic lips wont last on this case. I dropped mine a few times but not on the asphaltyet but i dont ever want to drop it. :-)

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
I have the Innocase Surface, but returned the holster. I was concerned about hitting the clip by accident and the phone falling out. Also, I didn't really care for the look of it. I have a nice horizontal leather holster that I used with my Treo 755p that works well with the TP2. The only problem is the front cover on the Innocase Surface split in 2. It's very thin at the point it broke, and I suspect it broke because it would sometimes slightly catch on the lip of the holster. Seidio replaced it under warranty, but that's about to run out. If it breaks again, I might see if I can figure out a way to safely glue it in place. I do like the protection! Then again, when I've had the case off, it is a noticeable difference. I've considered just getting Zagg invisibleSHIELD, too.

Re: Is innocase surface worth the money?
i bought the innocase for the tp2 from amazon for 22 bucks, it has done its job so far although i havent dropped it from any significant height yet. buttons dont get pressed accidentally, i dont have to worry about placing the phone screen down anywhere, and it doesnt add much bulk. the only thing is im not sure what im gonna do when i need to get to the memory card or battery... this thing is on pretty well.
