No its about the same, but it also depends on the station, for example Fox News looks great. But its because they spend the big bucks to have that ultra HD feed. So It depends I think MobiTV is a slight better but not by anything too noticeable.

Does the Chaner have local Southern Cal channels, Like Fox, ABC etc. Does SPB TV which is now free work on my TP2 running MM FF?

SPBTV does work on MM FF. I have no idea about the Southern Cal channels. I did not find many channels that I would watch.

Here is the SPBTV free cab. just install on storage card or device, soft reset turn on your wifi and launch program. I suggest you turn on your wifi on your first launch for an easier and faster set up. After that you will be good to go. You can even set the picture quality. Tons of channels, its free and even if you don't like the channel line up Im sure at your most boring moment you can find something. Plus again its free!

Thanks for the thread and those contributing. Can someone answer me very directly two questions.

-What is the best quality and reliable access to the World Cup Games(other than sling box). I don't care about price.

-With sling box do you already have to have cable or does that come with it? Is is a one time fee or hardware?

thanks.

In my opinion MobiTV witch now provides ESPN Mobile TV(channel) is the best reliable access to the World Cup Games for mobile devices other than SlingBox. My only only other concern or recommendation is consider using wifi for signal quality reliability and or also keep in mind who your service provider is and consider their data capabilities.

Regarding SlingBox, you have to have cable yourself. You can go to SlingBox.com or you can go to your local BestBuy and purchase the Hardware. They have a standard SlingBox hardware model and an HD SlingBox hardware model. Its simple enough to install from what I have read, sort of like installing your cable; basically plug ans play with possible software setup. Finally you have to download the SlingBox app to your mobile device. I believe you can get it from SlingBox.com directly or from the WM app store.

If money is not the problem like you stated I would go with Sling. Its a one time fee for hardware (Around $150 to $250) , I believe, I would check @ SlingBox.com for sure. But from what every one I know has told me its the best. Especially if you have VerizonFios HD package and you get the HD SlingBox.

Edit: Ebay usually sells them also.

Otherwise I would try out the MobiTV app/cab I provided a few posts back for free, and if you not happy with the quality try it on WiFi or consider upgrading to the $9.99 package. You can just pay a one time fee and if you dont like it cancel it before the end of the month.
