Start Menu "People" Icon mapped to "All People"

The start menu "people" icon simply moves the TF3D screen to the people tab. I would prefer it goes to "all people" instead, with the TF3D type contact list, not the WM default ugly contact list.

I am guessing it should be some sort of registry edit. I think I have to change the "Command" section of the manila for the Program Launcher. I do not know what value to put in. I tried a few I could think of, but didnt work.

Has anyone else tried to do something like this?

To point you in the right direction, you have to edit the .lnk file in the start menu folder to the all people tab. To look for the right place to point the .lnk file to, start in the /windows folder.

There is not a .lnk file that it points to. It points to the manila, with a "command" to tell it where to go in the manila. The link simply points to the manila.
This is what is says:

You can see that it points to "\\Windows\\manila.exe", but it gives the command "--switchtopage Manila://people.page". I would like it to switch to the "All people" instead.

I tried changing it to "--switchtopage Manila://peopleALL.page", but that didnt work

\Windows\ManilaShortcut.exe people/browserlayer/peopleAll

You might need quotations around it if it doesn't work alone. Enjoy.

Edit - Are you on a stock ROM? I'm on a custom 2.5 ROM so this trick might not work for you. Hopefully it does.

I am on Sprint Stock ROM.

There is a space between your manilashortcut and people. There is also no file called Manilashortcut.exe in my windows folder. Can you write it a little clearer?

If I am to create a link, I would imagine I would point it to Windows\Manila.exe, then add a command "--people/browserlayer/peopleAll".

Is this what you mean?

Okay, I got it to work by using the command as "--switchtopage Manilla://people/browserlayer/peopleAll.page", and I had to change the DispName from "[[IDS_FAVORITEPEOPLETITLE]]" to "All People" for it to work.

Glad it worked for you. I'm using MM War with Sense 2.5 so that's probably why mine is different from yours.

I'm uploading the shortcut that I have Sashimi copy over on a flash. I use restart to change the icon but you can also do it manually by going to hklm/security/shell/startinfo/manila contact and adding an icon key.

Just take off the .zip extension b/c I can't upload .lnk files...
