I have had my TP2 for about 2 months now and i find myself wanting a different phone almost daily.

The phone looks sexy and feels great. My main complaint is the performance. This phone has a lag problem. Maybe you guys can tell me what i am doing wrong.

I loaded MightyROM and at first it made the phone pretty snappy, but after about a week of usage the OS is just as laggy as it was before.

I have to do a soft reboot on the phone almost daily.

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

The phone just does not feel fast as it should. Every time i push a button there is a very notiiceable delay. This wasnt the case on my Android G1.

just like windows on a desktop every program stores stuff in your ram and run background resources which is why you are getting this lag i know its horribly annoying but the best thing you can do is go into hd tweaks enable some cache tweaks and run a ram cleaner every couple of hours. also you could try some different roms my experience with mighty's roms weren't so great but i used a really new build i found that silence roms or mr x and my favorite NRG's roms are really fast and reliable.

The question is what phone did you come from? The TP2 is a computer. You have to treat it like such. Needs a reboot to refresh the memory, clear the cache, etc... It's not an ordinary phone.

ive had HTC phones for years and this is the first one i DIDNT desperately want to flash a custom rom to.. stock runs smooth no resets needed for me, and i use the HELL out of it.. long story short try stock. slap on a custom clock, slider and bg. try that for a couple weeks..

jbass I know exactly how you feel and have felt that way for probably years. One thing that recently helped an unbelievable amount is chefs that have decided to put Manilla 2.5 (Sense) on Winmo 6.1 on the TP2. Here is the Rom I use:

when I first loaded it up I was shocked by the snappiness. I will not go back to Winmo 6.5 now. For my 'Rom switching fix' I may only jump around 6.1 Roms with the latest Manilla :0) check it out.
