After, I flashed an Telus radio but same result... Theriocally, it's supposed to work HELP!!! I know there's a few thread like this but they talk about HTC TP2 at general, but i talk about Sprint TP2.

Re: How to get Sprint TP2 on the Telus 3g network?

my guess is that it isn't really unlocked. all the TP2s come unlocked for international GSM, but not for US GSM carriers.

I could ask your Uncle if he paid to have the phone unlocked. If he didn't, then it's probably not unlocked for US carriers.

The Sprint TP2 is sim unlocked by default, but the radio is locked from using US GSMs. Telus is CA, so not sure why it wouldn't work. The only thing is to try to get the WU radio firmware and see if you have any luck.

As for flashing a Telus "radio" I assume you tried putting a GSM radio to a CDMA device. I'm surprised you didn't brick the device.

Re: How to get Sprint TP2 on the Telus 3g network?

Don't let the new shit throw you, most of these new phones can't hold a candle to what the TP2 does...that's why I still sport it, although the HD2 is a much better phone..but the HD2 can't use Sprint, AT&T, or T-Mobile on the same device..nor does it have TV out..the TP2 is the shit!

Re: How to get Sprint TP2 on the Telus 3g network?

Telus actually is running two networks. The old CDMA (EVDO/1X). This is the main network that both the Sprint and Telus TP2's function on. The only way to get a sprint TP2 on this network is to get the ESN number added to Telus' network registry. Good luck with that.

The GSM radio has a limited range of frequencies. I know on Rogers here I can only acces edge data and speeds (Not important since I don't have data on that line). A Telus GSM sim card might work but I doubt you'll get very good data speeds.
