iGO cannot find gps receiver // HELP~! //

Hi, there,,,

I am really frustrated because my TP2 iGo cannot find (internal) gps receiver.

I followed the guide of iGO 8.3.4.102680 with proper data.zip and branding. zip.

Everything(routing, searching maps, poi) is working fine except gps signal.
I tried autodetect, then it says " gps receiver cannot be found".

I spent two days to solve this problem, but no luck until now.
Please Help me...

What I tried..
- removed WM marketplace, (someone said it is conflicted with iGo gps.)
- go gps setting -> set port 4.
- in sys.txt [gps] port = 4, baud = 4800 or 9600 or whatever.
- etc.

My Pro2 is working with Google maps, or Bing navigator.
But I don't know why iGo cannot find GPS receiver.

Autodetect sometimes tries to turn on the Bluetooth.
But I cannot find any setting of bluetooth within iGo.

I appreciate if someone help me to get gps signal withing iGo 8.3.4.
I cannot do other things before solving this problem.. T.T

Wow...
I don't have a solution for you... But a couple of questions.

Why not just use telenav?... It's very good and part of your data plan. Unless you don't have a data plan which would explain why you are using iGo.

Why not bing?... Unless the answer is the same as above.

i had the same problem and then started using GPSMODDRIVER. once it is installed, use the com port that is shown on the popup as your gps port. Hope that helps.

I use Igo myself.

I have found that if you launch google maps and wait to get a lock then leave it open and go to Igo you will usually have a working gps in igo.

Someone made a launcher for it before but its been forever since i can remember where i saw it.

Hi, AZTECA // I have a sero plan. But I need a gps system in Canada where I cannot use data plan for free.

Other navigator such as TomTom need to connection to Sprint for working gps system. I don't know why. But IGO only use GPS signal only.

I love Bing and GoogleMaps~!

just a quick suggestion, i didnt really read all of your first post so if you've tried this forgive me.....Have you updated your quick GPS recently? That always fixes my GPS receiver when it wont lock, not sure what rom you're on but mine's under Start/GPS/QuickGPS, press download.
