Re: Best ROM in terms of Speed & reliability
I can't post links yet, but, if you do a search for
"TP2 ROM Guide<>all major ROMs in one thread<>how to choose your TP2 ROM" you'll find a well written guide. You have to decide for yourself which one you want. All of the chefs put out high quality ROMs. edit: this post is #10 for me so now I can post links =D> Last edited by hysonmb; 01-22-2010 at 07:20 AM. |

Re: Best ROM in terms of Speed & reliability
Mighty - WM 6.5 sucks compare to 6.1 in my opinion but since that is all there is now, I am getting used to it. It is getting better but not sure why everyone likes 6.5 so much. I have also used Silence Rom which is an excellent rom. I tried energy rom a while ago and it was garbage (Just real laggy) it's possible it could have got better now but everyone is different. I don't like roms with tons of junk on them. Give Silence or mighty a try

Re: Best ROM in terms of Speed & reliability
this has always been my question since I've moved to the TP2. One thing you may want to do is define what you mean by fast. For me it means snappiness of OS functions and changing screens and specifically in regards to texting, emailing and sliding the keyboard in and out (i.e. screen transitions). To other people it's how well youtube plays etc... On the TP for me it was DCD's 6.1 ROM. I haven't found a TP2 ROM that's sole purpose was to be zippy. I'd like too if anyone knows it. That or if anyone can point me to an article on how to upgrade to a Snapdragon chipset

Re: Best ROM in terms of Speed & reliability
i was using NRGZ rom 21889, was a bit laggy but i just got 23558 and it seems to b faster, i only would try NRGZ and JUICY only becuz it has the leo interface which is very neat! but again everyone has their own preferences

Re: Best ROM in terms of Speed & reliability
MalRom is one of the fastest out there. Not perfect though. I think the real problem is the processor is not fast enough.

That's like saying if we're all driving ford mustangs but if we throw in a ferrari engine we'd all be going faster because the engine is what's holding us back. lol |
