Also consider the way AT&T's network works, you can use DATA + Voice at the same time. It's not just a sales gimmick. On the other hand the CDMA/GSM TP2 is hardware compatible and really is a world phone. You could unlock it and take advantage of any other carrier's network (except Boost Mobile/Sprint's own iDen ofc). Sprint Touch Pro 2 cellular compatability; Cellular-Networks: CDMA800, CDMA1900 Cellular;Data+Links: cdmaOne, CDMA2000 1xRTT, CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rel. 0, CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev A Secondary:Cellular;Networks: GSM850, GSM900, GSM1800, GSM1900, UMTS900, UMTS2100 Secondary_Cellular;Data_Links: CSD, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA source:http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=spe..._htc_rhodium_w Last edited by clockcycle; 01-21-2010 at 02:29 PM. |

I have a workstation rig running Windows 7 and, aside from the bios and adapter bios screens, boots in under 20 seconds(to full desktop). Granted, my OS sits 6 15K SCSI drives in RAID 0 with 64K stripe. |

as far as having both or all three, yeah I did. I was bored with the iphone, opened a thread here in the iphone forum about how bored I was with the iphone after the jailbreak then I realized data recovery/retrieval from national research database sucks! And finally, the last revolting thing about the iphone was even with the jailbreak, I was still restricted in what I could do. And that just isn't productive. HTC does only run at 528 mhz, but I won't lie. I enjoy I balance but I would love my media component and gaming component too. Just like everyone else. But thinking of the amount of time I play games on my device, perhaps a game of xtract or a game of pangya or even physics deluxe. It just isn't often that I play the games. But I can see them as a jump for application performance and overall speed of device. All in all, it is based on your own preferences. I used all three, came back to touch pro 2 every single time. But its up to the individual user. Though in my eyes android is useless without htc sense =3 |

Re: getting tp2 today...thinking about iphone..whos have both?
Well I wont lie.. my curiosity got the best of me since I got bored with my tp2 so I bought an iphone. And ill be honest, since i've gotten it my tp2 has pretty much been collecting dust for the past 2 days. They werent lying when they said there's an app for that because there is... for EVERYTHING. It's a lot faster, more responsive... getting used to using the iphone screen and then going back to the tp2 it feels like I have to put extra pressure on the screen because of responsive the iphone screen is. It's LIGHTNING fast and does pretty much everything I need.
I was planning on just trying it out for 30 days just to see what its like but im keeping mine. edit.. I posted a side by side pic but it was super huge so I took it off |

Re: getting tp2 today...thinking about iphone..whos have both?
the tp2 doesnt hang with iphone in stock version. I have an iphone, and it's a snappy phone, but yeah, it does get old. I dont care much for apps and using my phone all the time; I'm primarily a business user, so that may weigh on your opinion. Programs I use the most are calendar, sms, email, and phone. For all of those, it beats the iphone. For sheer easy to use phone out the box, iphone is the clear winner.
Again, I'm a grown man, dont own an xbox360 or ps3, even though I'm a techno freak. iphone has the best web browser I've ever used, though the TP2 is no slouch, especially with opera tweaks. Overall, I think that the TP2 has some weaknesses, but overall a better phone than the iphone. If you're an average phone user, I think the iphone is better for you, but if you are gonna tweak the crap out of your phone, it's a tossup. Iphone has more stuff, but the TP2 does some stuff better; The speaker phone use on the TP2 is unbeatable, and I use it often to talk to my boss or clients who need help. |
