Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2

I traded out a pre for the touch pro, based on my previous experience with the tp original.... couldnt be happier |
Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
go with the touch pro2...with all the great chefs here, you can do wonders with this phone!!! and as far as battery life, i'm using mighty's lastest 2.1 rom and i get about a day with heavy use.

Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
I had the Samsung Moment for all of 24 hours and took it back for the TP2. I'm glad I did have it for the one day. I appreciate my TP2 all that much more.

if i go android it will be the hero. im thinking, i have to see how much money i have tomorrow in addition to what sprint will put towards my replacement. $599 for a phone is steep. |
Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
I would go for the tp2. i have the hero as a back up, but don't really use it. So I am trading it for a Pre tomorrow and see what new stuff they have coming out for it. But the tp2 is the best phone i have used in a while. +1 for Mighty's Rom

Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
get a moment! TP 2is nice but...WM is gonna die!
|
Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
FYI, the TP2 cooks are working on a working Android platform. They are almost to the point where it is functional. If I were you I would get the TP2. I bought my fiance the Droid and got bored with her phone very quickly. I am glad I kept the TP2. Soon, I will have the TP2 with the Android OS and you better believe I will rub it in her face.

Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
I would say TP2.
I have had it since day one and with all the tweaks around here if you dont want to flash a new rom, it will still function great. I got my girlfriend the Hero and while it's a nice phone it can't do as much as the TP2 can IMO. |
Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
hey im on my tp2 now on energyrom and its tough on the battery but b4 it lasted at least a day with heavy usage b4 it had to go on charger
|
Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
The battery life is excellent. I get double the battery life that i use to get on my original touch pro running mightys 1/13 rom. I use to have to charge my tp1 2 times at work a day and today i came home without charging it once with 80% battery life :)

Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
No offense but im not sure why you need to be convinced...check the specs and decide for yourself if it is the phone for you.
|
Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
Buy one or else you won't be cool?
Ummm or get whichever one fits your needs the most. |
Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
I had my tp2 on the charger all night turn it on and sent 50 texts and played pandora for 2 hours and the phone just shut down. if i dont use it at all nothing it will last 5 hours

i havent read the other replies in this thread yet but ill post my reason. I just moved to the tp2 on friday from on diamond. This is EASILY the best phone ive ever owned. it just FEELS like a well made phone in your hands perfectly balanced but not bulky or brickish either. Performance wise ive had no issue from it whatsoever. Even when running Sprints STOCK it's handled everything flawlessly which really impressed me after dealing with a Diamond for over a year. finally get the tp2 because it will soon run android whereas the moment and hero will ONLY ever be android devices and nothing can change that. |

User experience will vary from person to person. Get the TP2 and use it just as you did the phone you have now. If you don't like it, take it back for something else. |

Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
I am a long time touch pro user, and when i switched to the touch pro 2 i was amazed. Idk what people are doing with there phones, or anything but i would have to say my battery lasts atleast a day, and being on all night. The sleek screen is really what won me over. I would definatly say go with the touch pro 2, and like others said, they are working on a droid platform for the touchpro 2 so why not have best of both worlds?

oh yeah and regarding batt life ikm still in the process of conditioning it properly but so far its been great. i get a full days use off one charge and with extremely heavy use since its rarely been out of my hands for more than 5 mins lol. like i said this is the best device ive ever laid hands on. good luck, whatever your decision. |

Re: convince me to buy a touch pro2
The TP2 is a great phone and I like it. Very stable and capable phone. From a business aspect its great... I Just wish we had the app support i phone(dont blast me) and although im not familiar with em, the app potential/support the android has. The app thing is my only hang up. And i understand there is a great deal of wm apps out there....I just like the apps/games that the iphone, for example, has...even the silly ones. JUST MY OPINION.
Battery life is great. Itll last a full day with all the personal/work email and phone/data usage. Best battery life ive ever experienced....coming from tp diamond touch .... anyhow, if you dont care for the apps that other phones have, GO TP2. Can anyone comment on the android apps.. |
