Re: Netflicks

You can update your list and watch clips of the 'play now' movies with the free netflix app from MS marketplace.
I tried it and watched the WALL-E trailer, quality was ok.
It had to buffer quite a lot before starting, just to get through a 3 min trailer, so I guess that's why the app doesn't let you watch a full movie, it would be painful.

If anyone else has a solution, I'd love to know too.

I'm sure with skyfire you could do it. Not sure how the quality would be though.

Wirelessly posted (VZW TP2: XV6875.1 Opera/9.50 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en))

this has been asked a couple of times. issue is that netflicks requires silverlight to watch/stream the flick. sor far there is no silverlight support on a mobile browser.

Just wondering then, how do the movie trailers play that open from the netflix app?

Re: Netflicks

The clips play because they are NON DRM clips and in a standard format. To watch a full length you would require "more" than what the mobile app will provide. :)

Re: Netflicks

Silverlight is built into Skyfire, the problem you'll run into is that Skyfire does not have storage allocation so the movie will not buffer to our phones and then play because the path for storage is invalid.

Thanks for the explanation.
Pity though. :???:

I've resorted to disney channel on sprint tv and ORB to webcast our movies from home.

Can someone post the netflix installer CAB? I am afraid to install MS MARKETPLACE as it appears each time I use it and install a few programs, my phone crashes... I also would like to install programs on the memory card and the marketplace does not allow you to do that...
